William Michael Morgan, on the charts now with “I Met a Girl,” will release an ep later this month.

The disc, out March 18 on Warner, will include six songs, including the single, which was originally penned by Sam Hunt. Morgan, 22, is from Vicksburg, Miss.

Songs on the EP are:
1. Vinyl
2. Beer Drinker
3. I Met a Girl
4. Lonesomeville
5. Cheap Cologne
6. Back Seat Driver

Morgan got his first guitar at nine and taught himself to play songs by Keith Whitley and Mark Chesnutt.

When Morgan was 12, inspired by seeing a Dierks Bentley concert, Morgan started playing in public. He formed a band with local, older pickers and performed in the Vicksburg area on weekends.

In 2006, Morgan and band released “Always Country.” Three years later, he visited Nashville regularly for songwriting sessions. He moved to Nashville two years later and scored a publishing contract with Warner/Chappell Music as well as a recording deal with Warner Music Nashville a year later. Morgan’s first single for Warner, “I Met a Girl,” was released in July 2015.
