THIRTY TIGERS has announced the shuttering of its Country Radio department effective immediately. The label launched its Promotion department in MARCH of last YEAR (NET NEWS 3/24/15). Those affected include: Dir./National and WEST COAST Promotion DENISE ROBERTS, Dir./EAST COAST Promotion TRACI GHOLSON, and Dir./SOUTHWEST Promotion GWEN FOSTER.

“Led by PAMELA NEWMAN, our promotion staff has launched and furthered the careers of numerous artists,” said THIRTY TIGERS President DAVID MACIAS. “Though we were successful in garnering airplay, the tension between the expense of launching radio campaigns and our traditional approach of not owning the reocrdings could never be fully reconciled. I have immense respect and gratitude for the accomplishments of this team and the spirit in which it was done.” VP/Promotion & Artist Development PAMELA J. NEWMAN will continue to focus on her CRESCENDOMUSICPROJECTS clients.

Concurrently, SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE has signed LUKE COMBS to its COLUMBIA NASHVILLE imprint. COMBS previously partnered with THIRTY TIGERS and RIVER HOUSE ARTISTS to launch his current single, “Hurricane” at terrestrial radio. – See more at: http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/158281/thirty-tigers-shutters-country-radio-department?ref=mail_bulletin#sthash.umNU6jcE.dpuf
