Friday, March 25, 2016 – A movie soundtrack about Hank Williams and a Nashville-based singer who is old school are out today with new discs.”I Saw the Light” is a music bio about Williams starring British actor Tom Hiddleston. He turns in covers of such songs as “hey Good Lookin’,” “Move It On Over” and “Jambalaya.” The disc also contains recordings by Eartha Kitt (“Santa Baby”), Eddy Arnold (“Anytime”) and others.

Margo Price drops her debut with “Midwest Farmer’s Daughter” on Third Man Records of Nashville. This is the first country act on the label, which happens to be owned by Jack White. Price recorded the 10 songs based on events in her life, which has seen some tough times as indicated by the song “Weekender” and “Hurtin (On the Bottle).” There’s a lot of heartache in these songs.
