“With no new album to promote, Lindsey Buckingham doesn’t really need to tour. Heck, he doesn’t even need a band. His bluegrass picking technique allows him to play bass lines with his thumb while playing the melody with his fingers. The result is a one man wall of sound that overmatches the intimate venues he plays.”

Unfortunately Lindsey Buckingham did not seem to need an audience that night, either. He can shred on the guitar, true, but he played for only about one hour and used pre-recorded backing tracks on 3-4 tunes.
Surprisingly, Buckingham did have time for an expensive VIP autograph session after the show, but could not give us a full show despite the audience being VERY enthusiastic and supportive of his every move.
I have noticed a general reduction in playing time for many legendary artists. Many are into their 60s and I think they simply run out of gas. Steve Miller, Skynyrd, Jackson Browne and the Eagles are prime examples. You are right, though, they all seem to have time for pricey autograph sessions, though tix were only $35-$50. Thank you for your comment.
