If Bucky Covington has any regrets, pursuing a music career isn’t one of them. When thinking about trying out for American Idol, his said that he didn’t want to wake up one day and “kick himself in the pants” for something he wanted to do but never tried. As it happens, his decision turned out pretty well. After placing eighth in season five, his 2007 self-titled debut opened at No. 1 on the country charts, selling 61,000 units its first week and over 400,000 to date. His second album, “I’m Alright” is slated for release later this summer.
